Property & Casualty Underwriter - Allianz UK Join us for a challenging role as a Property & Casualty Underwriter at Allianz UK, based in Leeds (Hybrid, 3 days in office per week). Role Description This is an exciting opportunity for us and one which will provide significant strides in our journey towards becoming the UK's Number 1 Commercial Insurer. Allianz UK will drive profitable growth across this important segment and establish ourselves as the employer of choice. As a result of this proposition, we're looking for an experienced Property & Casualty Underwriter to join our fast paced and already successful team. Salary Information Pay: Circa £40,000 per year, based on relevant experience, skills, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package. Responsibilities
- Handle general customers' queries via telephone and in writing within agreed service standards.
- Underwrite existing cases and process mid-term adjustments, including analysis and compiling data for authority referrals.
- Handle internal claims and account queries.
- Negotiate within authority and refer where appropriate to maximise customer retention, persuading, influencing and convincing customers of the benefits of an opposed course of action.
- Anticipate likely objections and build effective responses.
- Build strong relationships with brokers, negotiate effectively, and provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Work as part of a close-knit team to offer renewal terms before deadlines and thoroughly check and issue renewal documents to clients.
- Learn about different areas of the business from industry-leading underwriters.
- Support the wider teams by being proactive, enthusiastic and challenging yourself to go out of your comfort zone.
- Provide suggestions to continuously improve the business in an ever-changing environment. Qualifications

- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and good analytical skills.
- Good decision-making skills.
- Existing CII qualification or a commitment to progressing towards CII qualifications is necessary.
- A good team player, supportive to others with an enthusiastic and positive attitude.
- Full working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Benefits
