Full Job Description

A full-time Project Worker in a Supported Accommodation scheme in Newport. You will be required to work on a rota basis which includes sleep-in shifts (additional £62.64 per sleep-in). A driving licence is NOT required for this role.

About the role -

This is a Project Worker role based in our Supported accommodation service, Clifton Place, Newport. We have a team of Scheme Support officers, Lead Project Workers, Project Workers and, Accommodation Coordinator providing 24/7 Support to our diverse group of customers.

Working in a team, you will provide support to a range of families, young people, pregnant women individuals with physical disabilities, mental health, substance misuse and individuals who have been trafficked from other countries. You will provide housing related supported to equip our customers with the knowledge, skills and tools that they need to be able to live independent lives.

You will work proactively and engage with individuals and families who are perceived to be 'hard to reach' using positive but persistent and assertive approaches in order to gain trust and bring about positive changes to improve outcomes for the individual/family, ensuring they can sustain their tenancy.

As a Project Worker you will lead each shift by delivering support to the individuals at the service, managing the scheme and overseeing the Scheme Support Officers.

Your day will consist of:

Engaging and interacting with our service users.
Writing and following a support plan with the individual you are supporting
Delivering workshops relating to tenancy management and health and wellbeing
Liaising with external agencies
Addressing any additional needs, the people we support might have

Relevant work experience and knowledge of issues relating to vulnerable people is essential.
A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life as possible
An enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to people's lives
A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player
Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations
