Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Project Support Officer to support our Wakefield Safeguarding Children Partnership (WSCP) Business Unit team, and wider Partnerships and Governance area. By joining us you will make a real difference. The purpose of this role is to provide project and business support to WSCP Business Unit Team and wider Partnerships and Governance area, and where appropriate partner agencies in order to support the delivery of WSCP projects, reviewing activities and service developments.

  • You will work closely with the WSCP Partnership Manager, the WSCP Business Unit team and the wider Partnership to support a range of multi-agency safeguarding children projects to further develop the safeguarding systems and practice.
  • You will provide business support to the WSCP Business Unit and wider Partnership and Governance areas, which may include tasks such as organising meetings, agenda setting and taking minutes.
  • Updating the WSCP website and social media platforms, including designing and creating webpages and content.
  • You will work independently and as part of a team, working with partner agencies across WSCP, challenging and reviewing current processes and ways of working.
  • You will support the delivery of specific projects using effective project methodology, to specific deadlines.
  • Due to the nature of these roles, it is essential that you are fully aware of all aspects of data protection and confidentiality as you will be working in an environment dealing with extremely sensitive and emotive information on a daily basis including information relating to the abuse and injuries to children and young people. Core office hours are 8.30 -17.00 Monday to Thursday and 8.30 -16.30 on a Friday. This post is part of the flexi time scheme. Suitable applicants will be invited to attend a formal interview. A standard DBS check and clearance will be required for the posts.
