Full Job Description
As the Project Procurement Manager, you will be playing a key role in the future of the industry, as a core member of the bid team you will be involved in all major opportunities including HS2. We'll look to you for:
- Manage sourcing Quality Cost Delivery Technology (QCDT) commitment in Tenders & Project Co- Manage the Material Work Package in link with Supply Chain representative.
- Develop network with Tender & Project organisation in order to anticipate sourcing needs.
- Respond and manage to all procurement needs for the Country on both Direct & Indirect commodities
- Pilot all sourcing activities for Tenders & Projects in DI&S
- Organises the interfaces between Sourcing and Project Work package Owners (Engineering, Project Material Controller, Installation Managers)
- Ensure the make or buy is agreed and formalized with all departments.
- Overlooks supply chain / Logistic deliverables
- Define tender procurement strategy and execute in project in In line with Sourcing Commodities Strategy for both Indirect and Direct
- Manage all procurement requests for the country for both direct and indirect
- Identify and mitigate risks in both tenders & project execution
- Data maintenance of Sourcing tools (SAP purchasing info records, SOL, ALTeS, eProcurement, ASIP) The role also includes Travel in Ireland & UK to attend meeting with stakeholders as well as suppliers
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, Purchasing, or equivalent experience
- High-level experience in sourcing/procurement for goods and services
- Operational experience in sourcing, engineering, or commercial projects
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal - English)
- Contract management and legal awareness
- Certification in procurement or commercial management (desirable)
- Technical knowledge of signalling systems (desirable)
