Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Project Manager, able to take responsibility, to join our team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, demonstrating diplomacy, discretion, and a proactive approach to problem-solving with a proven ability to work independently. This role will provide high-level administrative support and project coordination while ensuring seamless organisation of complex travel schedules and interactions for Professor Sir Peter Bruce FRS for energy storage activities based in the Rex Richards building, Department of Materials.
The Division and Department is a truly inspirational and fascinating environment to work in. The Department is one of nine within the Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Division, and one of world's leading materials teaching and research institutions. Our facilities and those of the wider University present a wonderful backdrop for the right person to contribute to wider society and develop their skills and career.
You'll become a key team member, working as part of a motivated Professional Services Team with the opportunity to build your skills and career within the Department and Division. This is a varied role, where you will be responsible for all of the administrative and financial activities in support of Professor Sir Peter Bruce's FRS research in energy storage, including those of his large research group in the Centre for Energy Storage Research.
This is inclusive but not limited to providing comprehensive executive support, managing day-to-day administrative tasks and acting as the first point of contact for Professor Sir Peter Bruce, assisting in the planning, coordination and execution of various projects, alongside monitoring project finances and progress.
If you are a proactive, highly organised professional and able to take responsibility, with a passion for supporting high-level executives in a fast-moving environment, we would love to hear from you.
