Full Job Description
We are looking for a talented Project Manager to support the delivery of a major works contract within a large and ambitious programme of work. This is an excellent opportunity for a multi-disciplinary, client-side Project Manager to further develop their career within a small, friendly and highly collaborative client representative team.Based full time at our site office in Gloucester, this role offers meaningful exposure to complex project delivery, hands-on site involvement and genuine opportunities for growth and progression as the programme evolves. The successful candidate will be expected to attend site 5 days per week (can be negotiatied) working closely with key stakeholders to support safe.This role requires minimum BPSS clearance or eligibility to obtain it You'll be responsible for:Delivering day to day client-side project management across construction management projects, ensuring safe, high-quality and timely delivery.Acting as a key client representative, managing relationships, reporting on progress and supporting informed decision making.Monitoring progress on site, identifying risks, issues and opportunities and supporting effective resolution.Coordinate with design teams to ensure timely information flow and alignment with programme and delivery objectives.Facilitate and support project workshops, stakeholder engagement and communication strategies.Manage and control project documentation throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring governance and audit readiness.Monitor health and safety performance on site, promoting compliance with statutory, contractual and client requirements.Support the administration and management of change control processes.Undertake site inspections, including defects management and quality control activities.Support construction completion activities, ensuring readiness for handover.Compile and manage project handover and completion documentation, ensuring a smooth transition to the end user.You'll need to have:Strong understanding of the project lifecycle, construction methodologies, design principles and planning requirements.Good knowledge of planning techniques, including programmes, critical path analysis and MS Project (or equivalent).HND (or equivalent) in a construction-related discipline and a current CSCS card; professional qualifications (PRINCE2, APM, CIOB or similar) desirableStrong written, verbal and reporting skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.Experience supporting construction delivery, commissioning, handover and defects management, with strong document control capability.Knowledge of construction Health and Safety, including CDM, sustainability and environmental considerations.Awareness of change management, NEC contracts, contract administration and dispute resolution principles.What's on offer:Car allowance.Medical health cover.Life insurance.Income protection insurance.Pension scheme.Discretionary annual salary reviews.Family friendly policies.22 + 2 Mace days + 3 days Xmas Shutdown + 1 day every 2 years' service + bank holidays.Our valuesSafety first - Going home safe and well: We champion a safe, diverse and inclusive working environment, understanding the importance of wellbeing in every team.Client focus - Deliver on our promise: We own the quality of deliverables, strategic outcomes and build long term relationships with our clients.Integrity - Always do the right thing: We influence positive outcomes within our industry, while always aligning with our compliance obligations.Create opportunity - For our people to excel: We champion a continuous improvement culture throughout all activities, inspiring our people and teams to develop.
