Location: Home-based with travel to customer sites. Our current projects are primarily located in Chester and Bristol, so candidates based in the North West or South West of England will be particularly well positioned for the role. At Siemens Smart Infrastructure, we're helping customers create smarter, more sustainable buildings through innovative technologies, digitalisation, and decarbonisation solutions. As we continue to support the UK's journey to net zero, we're looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex building transformation projects that reduce carbon emissions, improve energy efficiency, and enhance building performance. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of high-impact projects, lead teams on site, and help shape the future of the built environment. The Role As Project Manager, you'll take responsibility for delivering a diverse portfolio of building decarbonisation and energy transformation projects across the UK. Working closely with customers, subcontractors, consultants and Siemens teams, you'll lead projects that integrate technologies such as heat pumps, solar PV, EV charging infrastructure, Building Management Systems (BMS) and digital services that help customers achieve their sustainability goals. You'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards, while creating strong relationships with customers and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Please note: this role requires candidates to have current and permanent right to work in the UK. We are unable to support visa applications for this position. What You'll Be Doing
- Leading the safe and successful delivery of sustainability, energy and building transformation projects.
- Managing on-site activities from mobilisation through to commissioning and handover.
- Coordinating internal teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.
- Overseeing the installation and integration of technologies including air and ground source heat pumps, solar PV, EV charging infrastructure and Building Management Systems.
- Managing project budgets, schedules, resources, risks and commercial performance.
- Ensuring compliance with all health, safety and environmental requirements.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for customers and key stakeholders throughout project delivery.
- Providing regular progress updates and ensuring project objectives and milestones are achieved.
- Supporting the successful deployment of digital solutions and services that optimise building performance and energy efficiency.
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and operational excellence on site.
Proven experience delivering construction, building services, M&E, energy, infrastructure or sustainability-related projects. - Strong understanding of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) systems within construction, refurbishment or retrofit environments.
- Experience managing subcontractors, project programmes, budgets and site-based delivery activities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practice.
- SMSTS qualification.
- Project management qualifications such as APM, PRINCE2 or PMP.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to project sites across the UK. Desirable
- Experience delivering decarbonisation, energy efficiency or renewable energy projects.
- Knowledge of technologies such as heat pumps, solar PV, EV charging infrastructure or Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Experience working within healthcare, education, commercial, industrial or public-sector environments.
- Understanding of smart building technologies, digital services and energy management solutions.
- NEC4 accreditation/certification
At Siemens, you'll have the opportunity to work on projects that make a genuine difference. From reducing carbon emissions to helping customers achieve their sustainability targets, the work you do will contribute to creating smarter, more sustainable communities across the UK. You'll join a collaborative and supportive team that values innovation, safety and professional development, giving you the opportunity to grow your career while delivering some of the UK's most exciting building transformation projects.
