Project Manager

The main purpose of this post is to support key projects within the King's Health Partners Mind & Body Programme on physical health inequalities for adults living with serious mental illness, and mental health interventions in physical health settings.

Note - this role will work across projects in Mind & Body, dividing time across workstreams, where needed, to support effective project delivery as required for the programme.

The post holder will work closely with the wider team, as well as clinical, operational and academic colleagues across KHP.

In many cases these projects will be developed and delivered at a fast pace, working closely with the relevant project leads, who are senior academics and clinicians from across our partnership and their teams. The work will require engaging with a wide range of stakeholders from across our partner organisations and local health economy. The post holder will lead on designated projects/workstreams within the relevant programme, supported by the Programme Director and Programme Manager.

The priorities for the role will be agreed with the post holder as part of the wider Mind & Body programme strategy. The post holder will take an active role in delivering the overall strategy, and lead on scoping the objectives, deliverables, and approach for designated projects/workstreams with specific projects. This will include evaluation of initiatives to support building the evidence base for mind & body care., Work with the Programme Director, Programme Managers and Clinical and Academic Joint Directors to define project scope, objectives and stakeholder engagement requirements. Lead the development and delivery of clinical, academic and service improvement projects, producing project plans and managing timelines, risks, dependencies and resources to ensure delivery to agreed objectives, budgets and timescales.

Apply effective project management practices, including monitoring, evaluation and continuous improvement, to achieve high-quality outcomes. Support the development of partnership agreements and collaborative working arrangements where required.

Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports and governance papers, ensuring information is appropriately stored and accessible. Produce clear briefings and reports for programme boards, workstream groups and governance committees. Ensure compliance with Trust policies, governance requirements and risk management processes.

Capture, evaluate and share learning, outputs and best practice across projects to support service improvement, research, education and training.

Work autonomously to achieve agreed objectives, providing leadership and influencing stakeholders across organisational boundaries. Manage project resources and budgets where appropriate, providing regular reporting to Programme Managers and budget holders.
