Project Manager - Lifecycle (Facilities Management)Location: MOD Corsham, WiltshireHours: 37.5 hours per week, We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Defence team and support the delivery of lifecycle works across a complex PFI estate. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in construction project management who enjoys managing multiple projects and working closely with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
About the RoleYou'll be responsible for delivering a portfolio of lifecycle and construction projects across a live Defence environment. These projects typically involve the refurbishment, replacement and upgrade of building assets and infrastructure, including:
-Roofing and building fabric works
-Air conditioning and HVAC systems
-Doors, access systems and associated infrastructure
-Building and estate improvement projects
-Lifecycle replacement programmes
Managing approximately 15 to 20 projects at any one time, you'll oversee projects from initial planning through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with customer requirements.
What You'll Be Doing
-Managing multiple construction and refurbishment projects from inception to handover.
-Coordinating project planning, procurement and delivery activities.
-Developing and managing project programmes and timelines.
-Managing project budgets, costs and quotations.
-Working closely with contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
-Building strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
-Identifying and managing project risks.
-Monitoring project performance and delivery outcomes.
-Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
-Supporting the wider lifecycle strategy across the estate.
What We're Looking ForWe're particularly keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate hands-on construction project delivery experience.
You will have:
-Experience delivering construction, refurbishment or building infrastructure projects.
-Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
-Strong knowledge of project planning, sequencing and construction delivery.
-Experience working with contractors, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
-Strong stakeholder management and customer engagement skills.
-Experience managing project risks, budgets and competing priorities.
-A proactive and organised approach with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
-Health and Safety knowledge and relevant qualifications are desirable.
Experience within Facilities Management, Defence, PFI or other highly regulated environments would be advantageous. However, applicants must be able to demonstrate direct involvement in the successful delivery of construction-related projects., Security RequirementsDue to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance. Applicants must be British Nationals and meet the eligibility requirements for clearance.
