Are you looking for an opportunity to make Dorset a better place to live and work? This is an interesting opportunity to join the Growth and Economic Regeneration Service. You will be project managing the implementation and delivery of Dorset's £4 million Warm Homes Local Grant project across Dorset. You will be helping to improve health, reduce heating bills, and lower Carbon emissions through this project to install upgrades to homes in Dorset. What you can expect to be doing The Project Manager is the link between the government and our suppliers,. The government provides funding and sets out needs while suppliers deal with residents and install improvements. The job involves technical and people-centred work. You will ensure government money is well spent, home improvements are targeted at the appropriate people, and reporting is accurate and timely. You will also check local stakeholders know about the initiative and good quality referrals are made to and from the project. The post is part of the Economic Growth and Regeneration Service, which works to enable the creation and retention of good quality, well-paid jobs in Dorset. We do this mainly through helping businesses start, stay, grow and move to Dorset, and helping develop the skills needed to meet the demand. In addition to good jobs, Dorset residents need quality, affordable homes. The Warm Homes Local Grant Project reduces fuel poverty and helps the Net Zero programme to phase out high-Carbon heating. It will deliver energy improvement measures to homes, including Insulation, renewable energy and low Carbon heating. The service works collaboratively across the Council and with partners, to promote wellbeing and secure the best outcomes and value for Dorset's residents and customers.

Do you have an interest in improving Dorset residents' wellbeing? Do you have experience of successful project delivery or a recognised project management qualification? Do you know about and have experience of contract management, including the ability to produce effective project documentation and plans, and ensure timely reporting of outputs, results and financial information? Can you contribute to joint targets as well as work on your own initiative? Can you resolve difficulties using diplomacy, influencing and negotiation skills? Can you communicate in various forms to a high standard? Are you computer literate, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar applications? You may also know about:
