  • Work across the building maintenance teams, surveying ADR and disrepair cases, and providing operational support where needed.
  • Oversee the planning, delivery, monitoring, and evaluation of ADR activity.
  • Work closely with internal teams, external partners, legal services, complaints teams, and senior stakeholders.
  • Support the development of policies, procedures, and best practice guidance.
  • Monitor performance, risks, budgets, and outcomes, producing reports for senior management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accessibility, and customer experience.

As Project Manager, you are a strategic leader with a results-oriented approach and a commitment to equality and diversity. You bring proven experience in project management, specifically focused on overseeing ADR and disrepair cases within building maintenance. You possess strong leadership capabilities, expertise in managing complex projects and financial budgets, and a solid understanding of Awaab's Law and ADR/Disrepair methodologies. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to build consensus and handle sensitive conversations with empathy.

Hackney is one of the most dynamic and progressive local authorities in the UK. We are a resilient, vibrant, and creative borough in the heart of London, with strong, diverse communities and a powerful set of shared values.
  • Over the past twenty years, the Council has built up first-class services, outstanding public infrastructure, and a reputation for excellence, innovation, and ambition. We are leading the way on essential work such as our fight for equity in Hackney with a particular focus on becoming an actively anti-racist borough. But the work doesn't stop there, we are proactive in our approach to bringing fairness to all aspects of life including gender, neurodiversity and across the poverty divide. The Building Maintenance division is at the forefront of our commitment to safe and quality housing. We are currently evolving our approach to legal disrepair, placing a strong emphasis on compliance with Awaab's Law and the proactive implementation of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) strategies. By joining our team, you will be instrumental in driving this innovative shift, helping us to resolve disputes earlier, improve service delivery for our residents, and ensure our housing standards remain exemplary.
