Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent About the Role We are looking for an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of a major infrastructure project in Ipswitch. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will take full responsibility for the planning, execution, and delivery of the project, ensuring it is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing civil engineering contractor delivering complex infrastructure schemes across the South East. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall delivery of the project from commencement through to completion. Manage site teams, Site Agents, Engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements. Develop and monitor project programmes, identifying and mitigating risks to delivery. Manage project budgets, forecasts, cost reporting, and commercial performance.
Liaise with clients, consultants, statutory authorities, and key stakeholders. Chair progress meetings and provide regular project reporting to senior management. Oversee procurement, resource planning, and subcontractor management. Ensure contractual obligations are met and support the management of NEC contracts. Drive continuous improvement and promote best practice across the project. Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline. SMSTS. CSCS Card (Manager Level). First Aid at Work. Desirable Membership of a relevant professional body (ICE, CIOB, or equivalent). Temporary Works Coordinator qualification. Experience working on local authority or National Highways frameworks. Knowledge of project management software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project. What We Offer Competitive salary.
