Full Job Description
An experienced Senior Project Manager is required to support the delivery of a complex project within a central government environment. This role involves leading multiple concurrent initiatives, often shaping requirements from an early stage and driving delivery across a broad and complex stakeholder landscape.,
- Lead delivery of multiple workstream projects
- Work with business stakeholders to define, shape, and validate requirements, often from inception
- Oversee solution design options, including data access, infrastructure, and bespoke technology requirements
- Engage and coordinate with a wide range of stakeholders including Architecture, Security, Networks, Commercial, Finance, and Digital Workplace teams
- Collaborate with external stakeholders such as other government departments, law enforcement agencies, and third-party suppliers
- Manage project plans, timelines, risks, issues, and dependencies
- Ensure delivery at pace while maintaining quality and governance standards
- Identify risks and blockers early, and take proactive steps to mitigate or resolve them
- Support procurement activity and supplier management
Strong background delivering complex, multi-stream projects within central government or highly regulated environments - Experience working across technical and business domains, including infrastructure, networks, and security
- Demonstrable ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior internal and external partners
- Experience with procurement, commercial processes, and supplier management
- Ability to identify, manage, and resolve risks, issues, and dependencies effectively
- Proficiency in a range of project management methodologies and tools (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches)
