Full Job Description

We have an opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager to join our project management team. You will work as part of our project management discipline across a wide variety of sectors with world leading blue chip clients, world beating sporting teams, Automotive OEM's, ground-breaking R&D organisations, and some of the best academic research institutes. What you need to do to be effective in this role Your primary role will be to manage and support the wider PM team to help deliver a diverse range of projects within different market sectors. This will involve the following key tasks:

  • Manage and assist with the day-to-day delivery of projects
  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients
  • Manage and communicate with client and project stakeholders
  • Co-ordinating both the design and construction activities throughout a project life cycle
  • Development of project documentation and reporting
  • Attend, chair and record meetings as appropriate
  • Produce reports to suit relevant stages of the projects
  • In addition to the above you will also be responsible for the following key activities:
  • Identifying and developing innovative solutions for clients
  • Manage and leading multidisciplinary design teams
  • Manage and assist with conducting feasibility studies, including site surveys, site investigation, site evaluation, etc
  • Co-ordinate and obtain planning consents and all other necessary statutory approvals
  • Manage and establish project governance and client reporting structures
  • Manage and assist with the evaluation and selection of tender processes
  • Monitoring and reporting on contractor's progress on site
  • Supporting the team in developing new business opportunities
  • Supporting the team managing existing client relationships
  • Developing skills that will enable you to provide single point of contact taking responsibility for all aspects of the project and liaise with clients

    Construction project management experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Office software and Microsoft Project
  • Degree in a construction related subject is desirable, but not essential. All degree backgrounds will be considered
  • Experience of delivering presentations
  • Excellent communication skills to have gravitas with senior professionals
  • Experience in report writing, We are looking for a team worker, who is outgoing, proactive, and personable. You will also need to show ambition and a willingness to learn whilst demonstrating commercial awareness and exhibiting the ability to complete projects to agreed timelines.
