Full Job Description
Are you ready to take your project management career to the next level? UK Power Networks is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join our Capital Programme team based in London. With a competitive salary of £80,574, plus car/car allowance, inner London Allowance, and a 3% bonus, this role offers not just an attractive package but also the chance to make a significant impact.
Imagine being a key player in managing construction and engineering projects worth £10 million or more, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. As the Project Manager in the LPN Investment Delivery team, you will oversee a portfolio of projects from inception to completion, providing construction assurance and managing contractor performance. You will liaise with various stakeholders, including Design, Infrastructure Planning, Procurement, Supply Chain, Network Operations, and Asset Management.
You will have the opportunity to produce delivery plans, manage commercial arrangements with contractors, and provide regular reports on achievements, costs, and forecasts. Your role will also involve managing project delivery risks and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will need a degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering with a Project Management bias, or equivalent experience managing large-scale projects. Familiarity with construction management best practices, a safety qualification such as IOSH Managing Safely, and experience with project management tools like Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project will be highly advantageous.
Not only will you be part of a leading organization committed to delivering excellence, but you will also enjoy a range of benefits, including 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, additional reservist leave, a personal pension plan, tenancy loan deposit scheme, season ticket loan, and tax-efficient benefits such as the Cycle to Work scheme.
Are you ready to lead a diverse, multi-contract project team and ensure the effective use of resources to achieve project milestones? Join UK Power Networks and help shape the future of electrical distribution projects with a team dedicated to innovation, customer service, and environmental stewardship.
