Full Job Description
AXA Partners are seeking a junior but proactive Project Management Officer (12 Month FTC) to support our Business Leads and Project Managers on the delivery of some of our key compliance-related projects across the organisation. As a Junior PMO, you will work as part of the AXA Partners UK change team and be responsible for ensuring the right standards, processes, policies, training, tooling and reporting are in place to drive a successful delivery. The right candidate will have excellent stakeholder management, the ability to navigate, learn and understand complex programme environments, a resilient, proactive and practical approach, and an ability to quickly grasp concepts, tools, and processes. What you'll be doing:
- Support the programme sponsor, programme director and associated Project Managers in ensuring Regulatory Change Programmes are delivered in line with agreed AXA Partners UK project governance frameworks
- Lead on production of materials for the various Steering groups, including the newly created Design Authority committee and AXA Partners UK Change Board. This includes managing and assuring high quality input of data from required stakeholders as well as ensuring the outputs are accurately captured and pro-actively managed
- Support the Programme Director with opportunities to standardise processes and tools to ensure a consistent quality across all projects, whether regulatory, BAU change or Strategic group projects such as AXAlerate
- Ensure management, tracking, visibility and provision of a reporting capability to ensure meaningful programme reporting and data quality assurance
- Support the Programme director and associated Project Managers in maintaining a managed register of programme risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies. This includes tracking actions and driving and supporting mitigation through to resolution. Performing regular health checks on this data is also required
- Ensure documentation and reporting of actions, findings, and corrective actions. Minutes taking
- Create/support/deliver training where required to aid development and transfer of skills. This could include project management best practices, Tooling support etc.
- Update project/ programme plans, track milestones and highlight any major deviation to necessary Project Manager
- Support the Programme Director in ensuring the programme is set up for audits
- Manage key stakeholders by providing regular updates on the progress of each workstream/ project, ensuring that all submissions undergo thorough internal review by the relevant personnel prior to submission
- Appropriately escalate issues as necessary to address any delays or risks, facilitating timely resolution and maintaining project momentum
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting the organisation
Project Management competence, having worked on various types of projects, ideally within the insurance, assistance or financial services sector - Delivery focussed with strong drive and ability to work independently
- Excellent knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint, reporting and developing MI
- Strong analytical and presentation skills
- Inquisitive and challenging to ensure robustness of output
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong Stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Time management skills to deliver against tight deadlines
- Hands on approach with a focus on meeting deadlines.
