Full Job Description

The postholder will lead the operational implementation of the Patient and Carer Race Equality Framework (PCREF) within the Trust, ensuring alignment with trust wide anti racist priorities and commitments. As this is a newly established role, the postholder will take responsibility for developing and delivering a comprehensive PCREF implementation plan that sets out clear priorities, measurable outcomes, milestones, timescales, and objectives accessible to all stakeholders. "It is Trust policy that for posts that are for a time limited period, applicants who are currently employed by an NHS organisation will only be appointed on a secondment basis and should have approval from their line manager this is possible before applying. Applicants who are not employed by an NHS organisation, will receive a fixed term contract. ", Working closely with the Trust's Health Inequalities team and partners across the ICB, the postholder will ensure a coordinated, evidence based approach to PCREF delivery. This work will be crucial in preparing the organisation for future CQC assessment of PCREF progress and in supporting the Trust's wider ambition to reduce racial inequalities in mental health services. Some of the key duties include o Developing and managing project plans, including tracking improvements via Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycles o Coordinating with clinical and corporate staff to implement change ideas.o Reporting progress on race disparities in mental health to the Trust Board.o Ensuring compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards regarding equality.
