Project Engineer / Lead Engineer- APQP/NPI - Aerospace - Oxon We are a specialist manufacturer of complex, low-volume metallic assemblies serving the aerospace, defence, and medical sectors. Operating from our dedicated campus in Eynsham, we design and produce a range of non-ferrous components, including proprietary technologies that set us apart in the marketplace. Due to continued growth within the aerospace and defence industries, we are seeking a Project Engineer to join our team. This role will focus on industrialising products from initial concept through testing and into full-scale production, using structured APQP methodologies. This is a permanent position, based on-site in Eynsham, five days per week. What you will do
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams during new product introduction phases, ensuring successful and timely product launches Implement robust processes driven by DFMEA, DVP, and PFMEA, with effective risk identification and mitigation Develop
maintain, and manage detailed project plans in collaboration with internal teams and customers. Act as the primary technical point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle Take full ownership of APQP processes to ensure quality, compliance, and successful delivery. Manage pilot builds and initial production runs to validate manufacturing processes and product performance Produce key project outputs including manufacturing BOMs, project plans, PFMEAs, control plans, quality inspection guidelines, work instructions, FAIR documentation, DVP submissions, and support internal/external gate reviews What you will need An engineering qualification such as HNC, HND, or BEng A minimum of 2 years' experience delivering engineering projects within aerospace, defence, or similarly regulated industries Proficiency with relevant tools and systems, including CAD, FMEA, ECR and APQP , Eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship, and
