Experienced with manufacturing automation, mechatronics or robotic systems? The AMRC North West team are looking for a Project Engineer for Automation to join and help grow our applied research capability, supporting North West industries with innovative technologies!
You will be working in our new state-of-the art facility at Samlesbury, Lancashire, in a well-connected team with world-leading reputations in the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre.
This role will be based in the area of Battery and Automation. You will cover a range of automated assembly and robotics applications across sectors such as aerospace, automotive, small/medium enterprise support, and high-voltage battery pack assembly. We would require a hands-on approach when involved with the design and physical integration of robotic equipment.
As this role requires the building of novel automation concepts, it provides an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in the latest manufacturing technologies.
You will:
- Be educated to degree level (or equivalent industrial experience).
- Have a consistent track record of technical delivery of automation development projects.
- Have a knowledge of process automation and digital manufacturing technologies.
