Full Job Description

Lancaster Medical School is seeking to appoint a Project Co-ordinator to join the award-winning team delivering the NIHR-funded GRACE project.
The GRACE project is developing new approaches and infrastructure to support decision-making in radiotherapy for gynaecological cancer. As the project enters its final phase, this role offers an opportunity to contribute to a high-profile programme of work and help deliver its final activities and outputs.
A key focus of the role will be supporting the planning and delivery of the GRACE Festival of Gynaecological Cancer, which will take place in February 2027. Working closely with the Project Manager and the wider project team, you will help coordinate this flagship event alongside a range of project administration activities.
The postholder will provide day-to-day administrative support to the project, including coordinating travel and accommodation, managing diaries and meetings, liaising with procurement colleagues, tracking purchases, and supporting the processing of fees and expenses for project team members and Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) contributors. The role will also involve organising meetings and events, preparing and circulating papers and materials, arranging venues and refreshments, and taking minutes where required.
You will work closely with colleagues at Lancaster and Bangor Universities, supporting the Project Manager and the project's joint lead applicants to ensure activities are delivered efficiently during the final stages of the project.
We are looking for someone with experience of providing high-quality administrative support, ideally within a university or research environment. You will have excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills, be able to build positive working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders, including members of the public, and be confident using a range of digital communication tools, including social media where appropriate.
