Full Job Description

The Project Assistant plays a key role in supporting the Staff Health & Wellbeing and Colleague Experience portfolios within the Organisational Development Service. The role focuses on delivering high-quality administrative, coordination and communication support that helps create a positive workplace culture and enhances staff experience across the Trust. You will act as a first point of contact for the Inclusion and Colleague Experience Team, managing shared inboxes, responding to queries, organising meetings, taking minutes, maintaining records, and supporting the delivery of wellbeing, engagement and inclusion initiatives. The role also involves coordinating events, assisting with staff surveys, supporting internal communications, managing social media messaging for wellbeing campaigns, and helping facilitate key engagement activities such as focus groups, welcome sessions and long-service celebrations. This is a varied and fast-paced role suited to someone highly organised, confident communicating with staff at all levels, and passionate about improving colleague experience. You will work collaboratively across departments, contribute to project delivery, and help ensure staff have access to the resources, support and opportunities that enable them to thrive at work.,

  • Act as the first point of contact for the Inclusion and Colleague Experience Team, managing shared inboxes and responding to routine queries.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support, including organising meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes and maintaining accurate action logs.
  • Coordinate wellbeing and engagement events, training sessions, roadshows and focus groups, ensuring venues, materials and logistics are well managed.
  • Support staff engagement activities such as the NHS Staff Survey, People Pulse, corporate welcome sessions and long-service awards.
  • Maintain and update departmental records, databases and filing systems, ensuring information is accurate and secure.
  • Assist with internal communications, including drafting wellbeing newsletters, updating intranet pages and supporting social media messaging for campaigns.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external providers to help deliver wellbeing, inclusion and engagement initiatives.
  • Provide general project support, helping monitor actions, deadlines and progress across key programmes.
