Full Job Description
As Progression Coach, you will join a close-knit and supportive team working with young people aged 18 to 25 who are experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness.
Managing your own caseload, you will provide personalised one-to-one support within the community. You will help young people find and maintain accommodation, improve their financial stability, build supportive social networks and engage in employment, education, training or other meaningful activities.
You will receive training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and apply its principles to help young people develop resilience, motivation and independence.
Your key responsibilities will include:
· Managing a large caseload and delivering person-centred, strengths-based support
· Completing high-quality risk assessments and SMART, outcome-focused support plans
· Delivering one-to-one support in the community and occasionally facilitating group sessions
· Safeguarding young people and responding appropriately to concerns and emergencies
· Maintaining accurate and timely records on the client database
· Building partnerships with statutory services, private landlords, charities and community organisations
· Involving young people in decisions about their support
· Working with internal and external evaluation teams to improve service delivery
· Participating in supervision, caseload reviews, appraisals and team meetings

We are seeking a proactive Progression Coach to help young people at risk of homelessness secure housing, strengthen their finances and build brighter futures., You will have experience of supporting young people affected by homelessness, mental ill health, substance use or limited access to opportunities. Comfortable working autonomously in the community, you will be organised, resilient and able to maintain positive relationships in a busy environment.
You will also bring:
· Experience of independently managing a large caseload
· Knowledge of risk assessment, support planning and safeguarding
· Experience of lone working within the community
· Strong record-keeping, literacy, numeracy and IT skills
· A commitment to strengths-based and person-centred practice
· Effective partnership-building and collaborative working skills
· Strong professional boundaries and personal integrity
· A commitment to equality, diversity, dignity and respect
· A reflective approach to learning and development
