Progress Coordinator - Inclusive Learning & Vu

As our Progress Coordinator you will be required to develop and manage the delivery of a high quality, cost effective support service to learners with physical disabilities, medical conditions, sensory impairments, mental health issues, learning difficulties, care experienced learners, disadvantaged learners and other vulnerable or inclusive needs, ensuring they are able to access, participate and achieve their full potential in line with the College's Strategic and Operational objectives.

You will act as the key point of contact for referrals, undertaking needs and risk assessments, coordinating tailored support packages and ensuring appropriate interventions are in place. You will lead on the development and delivery of support services for learners with physical disabilities, medical conditions, mental health issues, sensory impairments, learning difficulties, care experienced learners, disadvantaged learners, young carers and other vulnerable groups to provide a rich and stretching learning experience and improve learner recruitment, attendance, retention, achievement and progression.

You will also manage and support a team of Learning Coaches, ensuring learners receive an outstanding service that enables them to access the curriculum, develop independence and achieve positive outcomes. Through effective partnership working, strong case management and a commitment to inclusive practice, you will play a vital role in enhancing learner experience, engagement and achievement across the College.

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of supporting learners with, mental health needs, disabilities and other vulnerabilities within a post-16 education setting, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive outcomes. You will have experience coordinating effective interventions and support plans that improve learner attendance, retention, achievement and progression, alongside the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, external agencies and other stakeholders to ensure learners receive the support they need.

You will bring experience of leading or supervising a team and be confident managing a varied caseload of learners with complex needs. Knowledge of SEND reforms, safeguarding legislation, and inclusive learning practices is essential, along with the ability to undertake needs assessments and risk assessments and implement appropriate support strategies.

Most importantly, you will be passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable learners, committed to creating an inclusive environment where every learner can thrive, and able to work proactively, professionally and collaboratively to deliver a high-quality support service.
