Full Job Description

Manchester Digital is looking for a Programmes & Events Executive to help deliver the programmes, partnerships and events supporting the growth of Greater Manchester's tech ecosystem. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys bringing people, ideas and opportunities together, whether that's through sector events, talent initiatives, partnerships or community programmes. You'll work across high-profile conferences, ecosystem initiatives and talent programmes including Digital Her, Digital Skills Festival, Future Live, Grad Recharge and flagship conferences, supporting both delivery and relationship-building across the sector. We're looking for someone who is:

  • This role combines programme delivery, stakeholder engagement, outreach and commercial support, with the opportunity to build strong relationships across Greater Manchester's digital and tech sector.What You'll Be DoingProgramme & Event Delivery
  • Support the planning and delivery of Manchester Digital programmes and events
  • Coordinate logistics across physical and online events
  • Support speakers, sponsors, attendees and partners throughout delivery
  • Help create high-quality event and programme experiences
  • Gather data, feedback and insights to support reporting and evaluation
  • Support on-the-day delivery across conferences, networking events and ecosystem activity
  • Outreach, Partnerships & Commercial Support
  • Research and identify potential sponsors, speakers, partners and contributors
  • Support outreach activity across email, LinkedIn and calls
  • Help manage prospect pipelines and CRM records
  • Contribute to sponsorship, partnership and programme proposals
  • Attend external events and support ecosystem relationship-building activity
  • Identify opportunities for businesses to engage more deeply with Manchester Digital
  • Stakeholder & Community Engagement
  • Help maintain strong relationships with businesses, educators, partners and community stakeholders
  • Support communication with speakers, mentors, volunteers and contributors
  • Contribute to content, updates and programme communications
  • Support the growth and visibility of Manchester Digital's ecosystem activity
  • Operations & Administration
  • Maintain accurate programme and delivery records
  • Support reporting, evaluation and compliance processes
  • Assist with onboarding, coordination and participant management
  • Support safeguarding and GDPR processes where required, Manchester Digital is the independent, not-for-profit organisation supporting the growth of Greater Manchester's tech sector.

  • Experience supporting or delivering programmes, events or projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence communicating with external stakeholders and building relationships
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work proactively and independently
  • Comfortable using digital tools, spreadsheets and CRM systems
  • Interest in Greater Manchester's tech ecosystem and business community
  • Desirable
  • Experience working in tech, community, education or membership organisations
  • Experience supporting sponsorship or partnership activity
  • Experience using social media, Canva or marketing tools
  • Experience engaging with schools, colleges or universities
  • Understanding of safeguarding best practice (training provided)
