Full Job Description
The Senior Programme Officer will provide comprehensive operational support across a portfolio of undergraduate programmes within the Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences. The postholder will coordinate a range of activities across the student lifecycle including timetabling, clinical scheduling, programme administration, student support and assessment delivery. The role will work closely with academic colleagues, students, clinical partners and professional services teams to ensure the effective delivery of teaching, assessment and student experience activities. The postholder will contribute to service improvement initiatives, support the implementation of consistent processes and provide expertise across multiple functional areas in response to changing operational priorities. This is a full time post, and you will be offered a 12 month fixed term contract.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience: Essential criteria
- Experience of coordinating complex administrative processes within a higher education environment or similarly complex organisation.
- Experience of working collaboratively as part of a team to achieve shared objectives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with a wide range of audiences.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise workload effectively and maintain accuracy.
- Experience of working in a customer-focused environment and providing high-quality service to a range of stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures and regulations consistently and appropriately.
- Ability to work flexibly across multiple operational areas, adapting to changing priorities and business needs.
- Confident and effective user of Office365 applications including Outlook, Excel, MSWord and SharePoint. Desirable criteria
- Experience of higher education programme administration.
- Experience of supporting assessment administration processes.
- Experience of timetabling, scheduling or resource planning activities.
- Experience of using student records systems and virtual learning environments.
- Knowledge of the student lifecycle within a higher education setting.
