Full Job Description
We are seeking a Programme Officer providing administrative support for taught students, contributing to an excellent student experience. Working within the Faculty Programme Team and reporting to a Programme Manager, you will support key education processes including timetabling, advisor allocation, module registration, module experience surveys and field trips, while offering supervisory guidance to Programme Administrators.
You will coordinate and deliver teaching timetables, maintain data in Scientia, allocate students to sessions and seminar groups, and arrange room bookings and AV provision. You will support programme administration by developing technical and analytical skills, advising students in line with Academic Regulations, and leading advisor allocation and module selection processes. The role includes supporting programme reviews, acting as the first point of contact for Programme Directors and Module Organisers, and coordinating project distribution and assessment schedules.
You will manage student module selections, ensure timely completion of Student Handbooks, respond to enquiries via AskQM, and maintain knowledge-base content. Overseeing Module Experience Surveys, process Change of Programme requests, and uploading potential assessment offences. Reception duties, examination administration, coursework coordination and participation in Open Days and Graduation are also required. The post supports an inclusive culture and involves flexible working, including deputising for the Programme Manager.
You will have a degree or equivalent experience, significant HE administration experience, strong customer-facing skills, and proficiency with systems such as SITS, Moodle or Salesforce. You will bring excellent problem-solving ability, strong IT skills, attention to detail, confidence with data, and the ability to prioritise and work both independently and collaboratively. Experience with timetabling software, committee support and staff supervision is desirable.
