Full Job Description
As Programme Manager for Housing Digital and Systems you will be required to oversee the delivery of the Council's Housing IT transformation and strategy. Bury Council has recently brought back inhouse its housing arms length management organisation and there is a key delivery programme to integrate, align and modernise systems across Housing. The Programme Manager is also responsible for the ongoing promotion of robust Project Management techniques and processes across the organisation in line with the principles led by the Corporate Delivery Unit. You will have extensive experience in project managing and delivering a wide range of complex digital projects and programmes of work.
The role is part of a matrix management approach where you will report into the Head of Performance and Delivery but be also based within the Corporate Core department and reporting to the Director of Housing.
We are particularly looking for experience of managing complex programmes within a local authority landscape, experience of digital and systems, excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills, ability to work through detail and proficiency in clear and concise progress reporting including milestone delivery, key performance indicators and risk management.
Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week. Dependent on service requirements, you may be required to work on a rota basis.
