Full Job Description

Clean, safe water doesn't just happen - it's carefully planned, coordinated and protected. At Severn Trent, we're committed to meeting our obligations to the Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI) and safeguarding water quality across the Seven Trent and Hafren Dyfrdwy network. We're looking for a passionate and organised Programme Coordinator to play a key role in planning and delivering the isolation, inspection, maintenance and recommissioning of Distribution Service Reservoirs (DSR) and portable water tanks - helping ensure communities always have access to safe drinking water when they need it most.

In this role, you'll play a central role in managing the end-to-end coordination of our programme. Working closely with Project Managers across the company, you'll bring clarity and structure to complex activity, joining regular conference calls to track progress, resolve issues and keep everyone aligned. You'll use Excel confidently to update compliance trackers, maintain accurate records and support robust DWI submissions and recommissioning plans, ensuring our commitments are met and our customers' water remains safe.

You'll be based at our headquarter office in Coventry. With this being such a critical role, we're looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week, working Monday to Friday office hours.

HOW WE WORK

You'll join a caring culture that collaborates to achieve, grow, and develop. Our employee engagement scores are among the highest globally in energy and utilities. That's why we value in-person moments to keep our culture alive but also understand the flexibility working from home can bring. You'll usually find us in the office, but working from home is supported when you need it.

We're looking for an organised and proactive individual who thrives on juggling multiple stakeholders, plans and priorities at once. You'll be confident using systems and data - particularly Excel - to track activity, manage compliance information and keep programmes running smoothly.

A natural relationship-builder, you'll enjoy working with a wide range of stakeholders and communicating clearly to keep everyone aligned and on track. You'll bring strong attention to detail, a structured approach to work and the ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced, operational environment.

If you have previous knowledge of the water industry, with particular experience of DSRs and portable water tanks, that would be a bonus!

Skills and experience are important, but character, positivity, and a caring attitude matter too. We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality, as we know diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our communities. We're looking for people who want to get involved, be part of something bigger, and make a difference because they care.

24 hours a day, 365 days a year we serve 4.8 million households and businesses across the heart of the UK. Each cuppa drunk, each toilet flushed is only possible because of the 10,000 brilliant colleagues working across our patch.

It's not just a job; it's a career. We offer benefits that reward great work and award-winning training to help you reach your potential. You'll also contribute to the environment and community. Some of our benefits include:

28 days holiday + bank holidays (and the ability to buy/ sell up to 5 days per year)

Annual bonus scheme (of up to £2,250 per annum based on company performance)

Leading pension scheme - we will double your contribution (up to 15% when you contribute 7.5%)

Sharesave - the chance to buy Severn Trent Plc shares at a discounted rate

Dedicated training and development with our 'Academy'

Electric vehicle scheme and retail offers

Family friendly policies (including, a year off paid for any maternity and adoption leave)

Two volunteering days per year
