More detail about the role The South West Genomic Medicine Service (SWGMS) works with partners across healthcare providers to ensure the successful delivery of NHS Englands national genomic strategy. Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is the lead in this partnership with Royal Devon hosting and supporting a range of functions to support this activity for the whole region. We work in partnership to ensure equity of access to appropriate genomic testing for patients and their families in the NHS and to ensure the delivery of a patient centred, high-quality and innovation driven Genomic Medicine Service. The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the leadership teams across these organisations This role will require versatility and the ability to meet deadlines and manage change on a daily basis in order to meet the needs of this dynamic and fast-growing area of medicine. Support and
training to provide an understanding of the service and service needs will be provided by the SWGMS Project Management Office team. This post will be based in Exeter at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and can accommodate a combination of office and remote working if preferable. Whilst an Exeter based role, the post holder will be required to support team members within the Genomic Medicine Service who may be based at other sites and in other healthcare related organisations. As part of a regional organisation, the post holder will be required to travel to partner sites within the South West as required.
