Program Manager, Global Immigration

As part of the People Risk, Privacy & Compliance team, the Immigration Program Manager (UK) will serve as our most senior in-house subject matter expert on UK immigration compliance, with broader responsibility for supporting Rest of World (non-US) immigration workstreams. This is a senior individual contributor role operating with significant autonomy: you will set the direction of the UK immigration program, provide definitive counsel on the most complex and precedent-setting matters, and influence organisational strategy.Your primary focus is optimising UK immigration processes across insourced and outsourced operations, owning compliance and audit readiness, and staying ahead of regulatory change. You will also act as a senior partner to the wider ROW immigration program, bringing consistency, risk frameworks, and vendor governance to a multi-country footprint., 1. Act as the definitive subject matter expert and escalation point for UK immigration compliance, and as a senior advisor on ROW (non-US) immigration matters
2. Set the UK immigration compliance strategy and roadmap
3. identify policy and process gaps, draft revisions, and drive implementation across teams and vendors
4. Monitor regulatory change across the UK and ROW, assess strategic and operational impact, and land the resulting policy and process changes
5. Own vendor strategy and governance for immigration providers and shared services teams, holding partners to a high bar of employee, manager, and stakeholder experience
6. provide direction to team members and vendor resources without formal people management accountability
7. Define program metrics and use complex data sets to report on compliance health, risk indicators, and vendor performance to senior leadership
8. Partner with Legal, HR, Recruiting, Payroll, Global Mobility, and business leaders
9. influence through credibility and trust rather than positional authority, and be sought out as the expert across the organisation
10. Provide critical expertise for corporate development activity such as mergers, acquisitions, and entity or footprint changes
11. Identify, scope, and take ownership of emerging compliance problems as the team and company evolve, exercising independent judgement on approach and solution

12. 10+ years of experience in immigration, employment compliance, or people compliance, including in-house program leadership at a large-scale organisation or equivalent law firm/consultancy experience
13. Experience supporting immigration across multiple non-US jurisdictions, and comfort in operating where guidance is ambiguous or precedent does not yet exist
14. Track record of setting strategy and driving large-scale, cross-functional programs from conception to implementation
15. Demonstrated data analytics expertise, and the ability to set technical direction for peers on complex projects
16. Experience using AI tools and technology to streamline compliance workflows, improve efficiency, or enhance decision-making
17. Strong working knowledge of adjacent frameworks - employment law, data privacy (e.g. GDPR), and workforce regulatory requirements
18. Experience influencing senior leadership and implementing industry-standard practices across vendors, able to make complex immigration matters clear and actionable
19. Experience making autonomous, high-judgement decisions, and spotting emerging issues before they escalate
20. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with highly confidential data
21. Excellent communication skills, handling sensitive matters with tact and diplomacy. Ability to travel occasionally as needed for cross-site engagement

24. Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
25. Bachelor's degree in law, Human Resources, compliance, or a related field
26. Depth in one or more additional jurisdictions (e.g. EU member states, APAC) and experience supporting multi-country mobility populations
27. Experience managing outside counsel and outsourced immigration providers at scale
