Full Job Description
Queen Mary University of London is looking for a world-class Professor of Marketing (Teaching & Research). The post-holder will provide strong research leadership-producing internationally excellent and world-leading scholarship, publishing in top-tier journals, securing external funding, and shaping the long-term research strategy of the Department of Marketing in the School of Business & Management.
They will also contribute to innovative, research-led teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, influencing curriculum development and enhancing student learning. The role involves supervising PhD researchers, supporting colleagues through mentoring, and contributing actively to the School's strategic priorities, including public engagement, industry collaboration, equality and inclusion, and interdisciplinary initiatives.
You are an outstanding senior scholar with vision, academic leadership, and a commitment to delivering impactful research, outstanding teaching, and positive contributions to the wider university community.
You are an accomplished and internationally recognised scholar in Marketing with a strong track record of world-leading research, including publications in top-tier journals and clear plans for future impactful work. You will bring significant experience in securing external research funding, developing high-quality research collaborations, and supervising PhD students to successful completion.
The School of Business and Management (SBM) at Queen Mary University of London is a large, ambitious, and interdisciplinary academic community with around 130 academic staff across five departments: Accounting & Financial Management, Business & Society, Marketing, People & Organisations, and Business Analytics & Applied Economics. The successful applicant will be appointed at Grade 8 (professorial, off scale); the starting salary will be competitive and commensurate with their research profile, skills and experience.
