As Production Team Lead at Arla Foods Oswestry, you'll take ownership of day-to-day production performance, setting clear direction on shift, coaching your people, and driving the standards that protect our quality, safety and output. How you will make an impact In this role, you'll lead the day-to-day running of production on shift, turning plans into safe, high-quality output. You'll keep performance on track, remove barriers for the team, and work closely with key partners to continuously improve how we operate.
- Lead with clarity and calm under pressure, creating focus and confidence on shift. Builds trust through visible, fair and consistent people leadership
- Take ownership to improve how things run, and brings others with them
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and regulatory standards
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through the use of lean techniques such as A3, 5why and 5s.
- Monitor KPIs and implement strategies to improve performance
- Develop, coach, and mentor team members to build capability and engagement culture
You'll bring relevant experience leading people in a high-paced manufacturing environment, with a strong grasp of safety, quality and performance management. You're comfortable using data and KPIs to prioritise, solve problems and improve standards, and you enjoy working closely with colleagues across production, engineering and quality to get results together. What Will Make You Successful - Proven experience as a Production Manager within FMCG or food manufacturing
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- In-depth knowledge of production processes, quality systems, and HSE standards
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in developing a culture of engagement and ownership at shift level
