Production Shift Manager

We are looking for a motivated and pro-active Production Shift Manager. The role is to deliver the daily production plan in the most cost-effective manner and in full compliance with current customer/brand product specifications, GMP, food hygiene and health & safety legislation. The supervision and development of a multi skilled, multi-disciplined team operating on shifts. Shift: B Days; 4on 4off Main duties include (but not limited to):

• Management of all aspects of the completion of the daily plan
• Ensure the effective, efficient and safe running of the area
• To maintain high standards of Food hygiene / Health and Safety / Product Quality
• Responsibility for the team's performance and product quality
• Build strong working relationships with team
• Dealing with all aspects of the manufacturing process
• Monitor your team's performance to make sure they are meeting production targets
• Ensure all materials are available to complete scheduled operations - report and escalate any shortfalls in a timely manner
• Lead, develop and motivate the Senior Line Leader & Line Technicians
• Support the Senior Line Leaders and Line Technicians in the development and motivation of the Operatives
  
  Reviewing of relevant risk assessments and safe working procedures.
• Accident investigation training.
• Understanding and application of Line safety inspections
• Root cause analysis training
• Team/Line Leader or Supervisor previous experience
• Proven machine operating experience typically gained within a manufacturing environment
• Ideally completed NVQ level 2 or above in a Manufacturing/food environment related subject/programme such as FME or Team Leader etc
