Full Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Production Planner to support manufacturing and science demand across Operational Delivery Units. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in ensuring production activities are planned effectively, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements.You will be responsible for developing detailed manufacturing plans, maintaining accurate planning data within the local MRP system, and helping drive delivery through strong production control processes. This role requires someone who is proactive, organised, and confident working across multiple stakeholders to remove barriers and keep progress on track.
Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed plans for methods of manufacture in response to tasking requirements, ensuring full consideration of time, cost, and quality
Maintain and update the local MRP system accurately and promptly
Apply Lean Planning techniques and Production Control methods, including visual management, Kanban, and Push/Pull processes
Identify and proactively resolve blocks and barriers to progress
Support the creation and maintenance of Basis of Estimate documentation, including production costs and schedules
Ensure all planned requirements align with the Master Production Schedule / Supplementary Schedule and are loaded into the local MRP system where applicable
Build effective working relationships across teams and stakeholders to support successful programme delivery
