Join 2 Sisters Food Group, one of the UK's largest food manufacturers, with an annual turnover exceeding £3 billion and approximately 13,000 employees across multiple sites. We have a strong presence in poultry, chilled, and bakery food categories. We are committed to delivering high-quality products to the British public and our customers including major retailers like Aldi, Co-op and Marks & Spencer.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and driven Production Manager to join our fast-paced ready meals operation. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a changing manufacturing environment and is passionate about driving performance, leading teams, and supporting operational transformation.

You will take responsibility for 4 production lines, managing approximately 10-15 operatives per line alongside 4 Line Managers, ensuring operational efficiency, product quality, and health & safety standards are consistently achieved.

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who is comfortable managing change, supporting infrastructure developments, and playing a key role in new product introductions and site installations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily operations across 4 production lines
  • Directly manage and support 4 Line Managers and wider production teams
  • Drive KPI performance across productivity, efficiency, waste, quality, and labour
  • Ensure all quality, food safety, and health & safety standards are maintained
  • Produce and deliver accurate production reports and operational updates
  • Manage absence, attendance, and workforce performance effectively
  • Participate in operational and cross-functional meetings
  • Support business transformation initiatives, including process improvements and infrastructure changes
  • Play an active role in new equipment installations and operational setup projects
  • Support the introduction of new fresh and frozen ready meal products into production

About You

  • Previous experience in a Production Manager role within food manufacturing
  • Experience managing multiple production lines and large teams
  • Strong understanding of KPI management and continuous improvement
  • Confident in health & safety, food quality, and compliance standards
  • Comfortable working within a fast-changing and evolving environment
  • Experience supporting installations, factory upgrades, or operational transformation projects is highly desirable
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ready meals experience (fresh or frozen) would be advantageous

Why Join Us?

  • Work for one of the UK's largest food manufacturers with a proud legacy - from launching the UK's first ready meals to driving modern innovation.
  • Be part of a team that values integrity, respect, and continuous improvement.
  • Work in a collaborative, values-driven environment where your voice matters.
  • Enjoy a competitive salary, opportunities for real career development and a benefits package that includes:
  • Up to 33 days Annual Leave including Bank Holidays
