Product Manager - Product Engineering & Simplification

We consider all types of flexibility, including locations, hours and working patterns. This role will contribute and support Product Engineering's role in ideation, product development, build and testing aligned to the product strategy. This role will:

• Support the senior product manager with the delivery of preventive pathways, cross segment or cross product proposition development/design, transformation and/or simplification strategy (as assigned)
• Represent product engineering on project meetings, liaising with PD&D, change, clinics or any other business function involved in the product development or build
• Support the creation and review of governance packs prior to POGF, POGC, UPCO and JPPC
You'll help us make health happen by:
• Support the senior product manager with the design and delivery of engineering projects as assigned and as prioritised on the road map
• Represent the engineering team in adherence to the product development framework
• Lead the creation and approval of assets relating to your assigned projects
• Support the briefing, commissioning and outputs from market and customer research linked to your assigned projects that feed in and support governance forums such as POGF
• Understand and articulate how the engineering team fit into the wider health and dental team
• Understand how current pipeline delivery supports the wider product strategy and ambition
• Maintain and promote a culture of good risk and control management, ensuring good customer and regulatory outcomes.
• Support the assessment of new opportunities into the team through effective triaging.
  
  Product management experience, ideally within the Private Medical Insurance industry or alternatively within the General Insurance industry or the Financial Services industry
• Ideally good knowledge of Bupa's consumer or corporate PMI products and portfolios
• Experience in managing or supporting fair value assessments and product reviews.
• Experience in the definition and management of product improvement plans
• Experience in managing or supporting the review of Terms and Conditions
• Some experience or exposure to risk and incident management
• Some experience in cross-functional impact assessment
• Some experience or exposure to developing and designing new strategies / operational plans to maximise business opportunities.
• Some familiarity with project management
• Understanding of the proposition development processes and a good working knowledge of change/transformation processes and governance.
