Full Job Description
At Cox Automotive Europe, we build the intelligence that powers decisions across the automotive ecosystem - from fleet and logistics to remarketing and finance. Our Data Solutions team sits right at the heart of that mission, creating data-driven products used every day by professionals operating under real-time pressure. We're now looking for a mid-senior level Product Designer to join this team and take ownership of user research and design from discovery through to delivery. This is a genuinely hands-on role. You'll be talking to users, shaping problems, prototyping solutions and seeing them ship - not handing designs over and hoping for the best. Why this role is different
- Research and design are inseparable here. You'll speak to users in the morning and be sketching, testing or prototyping solutions the same day.
- Your work directly impacts trust and adoption. These products help users make high-stakes operational decisions - clarity, speed and confidence matter.
- Design is embedded, not bolted on. You'll sit inside a cross-functional squad with Product, Engineering and Data Science from day one.
- Real enterprise access. You'll work with real users across multiple markets - an unusually rich research environment for a B2B designer. What you'll be working on
- Running discovery, usability testing, surveys and focus groups with enterprise users
- Designing end-to-end workflows for complex, data-heavy decision-support products
- Turning multi-variable data into clear, scannable and actionable experiences
- Creating prototypes at the right fidelity to test and learn quickly
- Producing developer-ready designs and sharing responsibility for what gets built
- Communicating insights and design rationale clearly to stakeholders If you enjoy simplifying complexity, designing for trust, and seeing your work used daily - this will suit you.
- Strong product design background across both research and interaction/UI design
- Experience designing B2B workflow tools or complex data-driven products
- Confidence designing data visualisation and dense information hierarchies
- Comfortable working in agile squads where design feeds directly into sprints
- Strong synthesis and communication skills
- Able to work with ambiguity and help define the problem, not just solve it Bonus points for
- Experience in automotive, fleet, logistics or operational decision-making environments
- Familiarity with AI-driven or recommendation-based products and trust calibration
- Microcopy and content design instincts
- Design Thinking facilitation and workshop experience

You don't need to be an expert in everything, but you should be comfortable across: Figma, Dovetail, Maze, usability testing, prototyping, agile workflows, and using AI tools (including Claude) to support research, synthesis and design thinking. The team & culture You'll join a fast-moving product squad within a growing 20-person Data Solutions function, backed by strong executive support and a clear commercial mandate. We have a dedicated Design Systems team, so your focus stays where it should be: solving real user problems and designing great products. Design is respected here as a core discipline - not a service function. What we offer
