Full Job Description

As a Procurement Officer (Buyer), you will support the Legal, Procurement, Commercial and Governance (LPCG) team in delivering a wide range of procurement and commercial activities. You will take ownership of key procurement processes, ensuring compliance with governance and public procurement regulations, while supporting departmental and company objectives. This is a varied role offering exposure across procurement, commercial, and governance functions, suited to a proactive individual who enjoys working in a dynamic environment.,

  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes, from initial requirement through to contract award, ensuring compliance with governance and procurement regulations
  • Lead and support tender activities, including preparing documentation, specifications, evaluation criteria, and procurement timelines
  • Coordinate procurement exercises using e-tendering platforms, ensuring accuracy of documentation and adherence to deadlines
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, contract documentation, and audit trails in line with compliance requirements
  • Raise and manage purchase orders for spares and consumables, ensuring accurate data is recorded within systems such as D365
  • Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on procurement processes, policies, and documentation requirements
  • Support supplier and contract management activities, including onboarding suppliers, managing approvals, and contributing to procurement workflow improvements

    Experience working within a procurement, purchasing, or commercial function
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records in line with governance requirements
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of working within a regulated or performance-driven environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Experience in public sector procurement, contract management, or supplier management is desirable, along with familiarity with systems such as D365
