Full Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable part time Procurement Officer to join our Governance & Democracy team.This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of procurement services across Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council and our partner organisations. This role is for 19.50 hours per week, with 10 of those hours specifically supporting Rugby Borough Council. Reporting to the Procurement Service Manager, you will provide procurement advice and support to officers across the organisation, helping to ensure the procurement of goods, services and works delivers value for money while maintaining compliance with legislative and governance requirements.,

  • Managing procurement activities in accordance with Contract Procedure Rules and procurement legislation.
  • Providing professional procurement advice and guidance to officers and stakeholders.
  • Supporting contract management, supplier performance monitoring and compliance activities.
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of procurement strategies and procedures.
  • Delivering procurement training and workshops to employees.
  • Maintaining procurement records, contract databases and reporting on procurement activity
