Full Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to manage Supply Chain and Procurement activities across Public and Private sector areas, supporting the value proposition by driving cost focus, mitigating risk and ensuring compliance. The role is responsible for providing sourcing, contract and supplier relationship management across agreed categories to achieve reduced total cost of ownership (TCO), improved operating efficiencies, and enhanced product and service quality., We are looking for a procurement professional who can develop and implement effective sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and deliver value improvement initiatives. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement, commercial awareness, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.,
- Manage sourcing activities across Public and Private sector areas to maximise value from the spend portfolio.
- Formulate procurement plans that maximise scale opportunities across multiple projects.
- Consolidate spend and leverage supplier relationships to deliver the best proposition at the lowest total cost while maintaining customer service and product quality.
- Implement procurement strategies that improve commercial performance, maintain compliance, and mitigate risk.
- Deliver buying efficiency and compliance while leveraging spend through the most appropriate buying channels and suppliers.
- Identify and deliver value improvement initiatives, including savings and cash flow targets, while tracking and reporting progress.
- Source and tender work packages using Scanmarket.
- Manage contract assurance, risk mitigation, supplier relationships, and the Preferred Supplier List (PSL), driving supplier compliance and capability visibility.
Proven experience in indirect category procurement, with demonstrated professional procurement and supply chain capability. - Professional CIPS certification.
- Strong business acumen.
- Knowledge of negotiation and contracting processes, tools, and systems.
- Understanding of critical contractual clauses and terms and conditions, with the ability to manage complex supplier relationships.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage at multiple levels and through different formats.
- Results-oriented approach with a strong focus on achieving targeted outcomes.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to create and deliver plans effectively.
- Proactive, self-starting team player with strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
