Full Job Description
- Completing routine checks, basic planned preventative maintenance, and problem-solving to ensure the smooth running of the pumping station.
- Completing monitoring checks to ensure the plant is running efficiently and identifying trends.
- Undertaking health and safety and security checks. Highlighting and reporting hazards, near misses and incidents, including statutory testing for legionella, fire and housekeeping; making the area safe, escalating any issues to your line manager as soon as possible.
- Operation of large storm pumping stations to manage our customers' network.
- Operation of large mechanical equipment to provide safe plant and hydraulic flow isolations.
- Completion of confined space entries to complete inspections, maintenance and fault finding.
- Providing technical assistance and guidance to new starters as well as existing colleagues.
- Attending all team meetings, engaging with safety briefings and company communications and raising constructive feedback with the management team, with suggestions for improvements. Base Location: Abbey Mills - Stratford - E15 2RN. Working Pattern: 38 hours Monday-Friday 7:30 am - 3:36 pm plus Standby rota payments & Overtime opportunities can increase your earning potential upon completion of essential company training.
- Be a self-motivated individual who can immerse themselves in the team around them. You need to be very disciplined, have the desire to learn from those around you, and have a can-do attitude. This role can be demanding at times, but very rewarding too.
- Take Ownership of responding quickly to faults, being curious to fully understand the problem, and identifying the best solution to resolve it the first time.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with the team.
- Teamwork - We are one team, and our end goals are the same.
- Proactive - take the lead on recommendations and improvements around the site and communicate effectively.
- Must be prepared to be trained in safety procedures.
- Knowledge and awareness of health and safety standards.
- Full UK driver's licence.
