Full Job Description
This is an opportunity to join a robust and hard-working team delivering the base operational and customisation business at Skelmersdale DC. As Process Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, controlling, and optimizing processes across the site, identifying complex losses and leading elimination efforts collaborating with various internal & external partners. What you'll do:
- Continuous Improvement & Loss Elimination: You will identify complex operational and non-operational losses and lead end-to-end improvement initiatives. This includes designing and rolling out new or improved processes on site and ensuring they are embedded and sustained.
- Transition Support & Capability Building: You will support transitions into new ways of working while developing and upskilling key personnel in your assigned areas. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams and external partners to ensure knowledge transfer and long-term capability.
- Productivity & Digital Enablement: You will focus on eliminating non-value-added activities and enhancing productivity through automation and digitalization, utilizing your expertise to maximize efficiency.
- Process Standardisation & Documentation: You will ensure processes are clearly defined, standardised and documented through robust operating standards that can be consistently applied.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: You will work closely with all onsite departments to ensure proper setup and integration of new systems with regular coaching and training across the organization., P&G is legally required to ensure all candidates have the right to work in the UK from Day 1 of their employment. Relevant experience in a process engineering or continuous improvement role, ideally within a distribution, logistics, manufacturing or FMCG environment. - Proven track record of leading process improvements from problem identification through to implementation.
- Strong Problem Solving skills, including root cause analysis and the ability to create, update and reinforce standards, eliminating or simplifying non-value added activity.
- Strong personal accountability & ownership to efficiently roll out new processes delivering tangible productivity improvements across the business.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with team members and external stakeholders.
- Sound understanding of digital tools utilizing PowerBI, Power Apps and Power Automate would be a strong advantage.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining accountability and leadership.
