Full Job Description
- To support the Manufacturing Manager by leading, designing, implementing and optimising the efficiency of the manufacturing processes in line with all key KPI's.
- Work in partnership with safety, production, quality and engineering to drive standards.
- As part of the management team take an active role in instructing, directing and encouraging shift teams.
- Be a safety leader in all aspects of our operation.
- Assist in establishing best practise and the implementation across the organisation.
- Drive continuous improvement as the ambassador for the function in the cans department.
A degree in an engineering discipline with strong continuous improvement skills and/or managerial experience at an appropriate level, however experience in the manufacturing process of the relevant department with a level 3 engineering qualification will be considered. - Good awareness of problem solving and improvement tools with a track record of driving root-cause analysis.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Skills and a proven record in delivering training. Desirable
- Project management skills
- Knowledge of ISO standards
- Lean Six-sigma black belt
