Join us as a Process Engineer on one of Thames Water's most significant infrastructure upgrades at Maple Lodge Sewage Treatment Works. This major scheme will play a vital role in increasing treatment capacity, improving environmental performance and strengthening long-term resilience for the region. It's an opportunity to be part of a high-profile project that combines complex civil, mechanical, electrical and process engineering challenges with meaningful outcomes for customers, communities and the environment. What will you be responsible for? As a Process Engineer, you'll be working within the Maple Lodge STW team, supporting them in delivering one of Thames Water's most significant infrastructure upgrades. Your day to day will include:
- Developing and reviewing process designs that are safe, efficient, buildable and aligned with legislation, industry standards and client expectations
- Using site performance insight to identify risks, shape mitigation plans and support strong programme, quality and operational outcomes
- Producing and reviewing key process deliverables, including models, mass balances, control philosophies, technical reports and design documentation
- Working across disciplines to ensure process solutions are fully integrated, coordinated and ready for construction, commissioning and operation
- Collaborating with engineers, specialists, operators, construction teams and the client to develop solutions that are practical, safe and fit for purpose
You hold a degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or a closely related discipline - You're working towards Chartered or Incorporated status with a recognised professional institution or bring equivalent professional experience
- You have a strong understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes, with practical experience in process design for wastewater infrastructure projects
- You're collaborative and enjoy working closely with clients and stakeholders to reach innovative solutions
- You're trusted to deliver what you promise and act safely and ethically at all times
