Full Job Description

35 hours per week, 9:30am to 5:30pm but additional hours may be required. We are happy to consider agile and flexible working patterns. Our approach to hybrid working allows for up to 40% of time working from home and 60% working in the office, please contact a member of the recruitment team to discuss further., Specific duties or responsibilities may be reviewed from time to time to reflect changes in personnel and management structure, staff location or services. All members of the firm participate in our Responsible Business program. The paralegal's main duty is to support the Private Equity team on a wide range of transactions, including private M&A and secondaries. Duties will include:

  • Supporting the production of documentation based on precedent forms
  • Assisting with signings and undertaking post-completion tasks
  • Assisting with the drafting of condition precedent documents
  • Researching information using paper and computerised resources
  • General administration, including proof reading, filing and photocopying
  • Assisting with queries from fee earners
  • Develop effective working relationships with members of the department and other support and legal departments
  • Additional ad hoc duties as and when required

  • Law degree, or equivalent
  • High level of IT literacy
  • MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint experience
  • Excellent research skills
  • The ability to communicate effectively to all levels of staff is required. This applies to all forms of communication: telephone; written; and face-to-face.
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage tasks effectively
  • Strong presentation skills with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Able to work under pressure to deadlines
  • Proactive and shows initiative
  • Flexible and willing to take on new and challenging tasks
