Reporting to Tax Partner, the Director role will be focussed on developing the Private Client services within the office and contributing to the strategic growth of the firm's private client service line. The successful candidate will provide advisory services to clients and form an integral part of the Advisory Tax leadership team with scope for career progression. Your primary role will be to deliver tax planning and advisory services in relation to high net worth, dynamic private clients and to support the development of the office's team to support this delivery (these could possibly include: Non Dom & International clients, Family office, Offshore, Inheritance Tax, Trusts and Estate planning). The team delivers a full consultative, planning and compliance service to individuals and their families including optimising all private client tax reliefs during lifetime and on death.,

• Providing bespoke advice across all areas of personal taxation, helping ultra high net worth and high net worth individuals pay the right amount of tax
• Assisting Tax Partners and Partners with more complex enquiries and ensuring planning and cross-selling opportunities are identified and followed up
• Assisting in generating new work and developing relationships with intermediaries
• Developing the office's private client team with a focus on enhancing their advisory and business development skills.
• Leading HMRC enquiry matters
• Reviewing the wider client base and identifying additional opportunities
• Maintaining regular communication with all clients and related 3rd parties
• Displaying excellent communication skills
• Working in a team with direct responsibility for the mentoring, developing and training of managers & trainees
• Preparing budgets, completing work within budget and reporting to Partners on good financial management.
  
  CTA qualified or equivalent
• High level of technical advisory expertise
• Self-starter capable of motivating, driving, and developing the team
• Able to demonstrate relevant practical experience in Private Client tax planning
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels including excellent inter-personal skills in dealing with clients in person and report writing, with the ability to explain and simplify highly technical point for clients to understand
• Ability to provide excellent client care
• Strong relationship building, networking, and business development skills

• Ideally able to demonstrate experience in the following
o Private client taxation and planning o Planning for owner managed businesses o Inheritance Tax planning o Trusts and Estate planning
