Eventus Legal are seeking a Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive with 3+ years PQE to join a long established law firm in Southwell, Nottinghamshire. This is a full-time, permanent job offering a competitive salary of up to £55,000, flexible working within an office-based position, 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, free local parking, and clear opportunities for career progression. You will manage a varied private client caseload with support from experienced paralegals and legal assistants.

Role Responsibilities

The successful Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive in Southwell, Nottinghamshire will manage a broad and interesting private client caseload and have full support from the wider team and paralegals and legal assistants within the private client department. Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing a varied caseload of private client matters


• Advising on and preparing wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney


• Handling probate and estate administration matters, including complex estates


• Advising on inheritance tax planning


• Managing trust matters as part of the wider private client caseload


• Working closely with paralegals and legal assistants who will support the progression of files

Person Specification

Applications are welcomed from experienced private client solicitors or legal executives in Southwell, Nottinghamshire, and the surrounding area who are comfortable managing a varied caseload. You should also be able to demonstrate the following:

• Qualification as a Solicitor or Legal Executive


• 3+ years post-qualification experience working within private client


• Experience across wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, probate, inheritance tax, trusts, and estate administration


• The ability to manage a varied caseload effectively


• Confidence handling complex estate administration matters
