Would you like to be instrumental in managing an established well led prison mental health team within the H&J service in HMP Holme House?

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Mental Health Team in HMP Holme Houseas aninterimMental Health Team Manager, to cover maternity leave. HMP Holme House is a Category B partial remand male prison located in Stockton-on-Tees.

The team manager will be expected to lead by example, providing strong leadership while being accessible to staff. They will be flexible in their approach to managing the day-to-day operational aspects of the service., Team managers will work in partnership with other healthcare providers, HMPPS, internal and external Health and Justice services within the region. They will have excellent skills in communication, engagement, collaboration and have experience of working in mental health services, preferably with knowledge of the criminal justice system.

Operational management of a Mental Health Team, including accountability for ensuring the highest professional standards and attitudes towards the care of patients are maintained and delivered at all times in accordance with evidence-based practice, while supporting staff development and well-being.

The successful candidate will work collectively with senior clinical staff to provide a comprehensive mental health service, navigating the challenges of a prison environment.

The post holder will liaise closely with their peer group of team managers in the North East Prisons. They will also be supported by a service manager and receive supervision and professional development opportunities.

The successful candidate should have experience working in Mental Health Services.
