Full Job Description

As a Print Room Apprentice, you will work within our key business support teams in providing both internal and external communications. You will also be required to spend a proportion of your time undertaking a relevant qualification and will gain a range of experience whilst learning from professionals within the organisation. This is a very practical role and will suit someone eager to work on site and learn practically whilst developing the skills, knowledge and principles become a qualified print and mail operative.

Our ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with the ability to build and develop positive working relationships.

Candidates should be a Wigan Council resident, hold a strong sense of purpose, strive to give your best and can collaborate positively with our service teams and communities.

These are very practical, hands-on roles and will suit someone eager to work on site and learn practically whilst developing a keen attention or detail and a specific skill set to become a qualified print production operative.

This exciting new role is part of Wigan Council's Document Solutions team. The Document Solutions Team provides an essential communications service to both Council Staff and it's service users by ensuring the council's print strategy is followed.
