An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team, as the Principal Pharmacist, Paediatrics and Women's Health. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist to lead and develop the clinical pharmacy service to the Women and Children's Division. The post will suit individuals who would thrive in working autonomously and collaboratively as a strong team player., As the Principal Pharmacist for Paediatrics and Women's Health, you will provide leadership and clinical expertise, supporting the work across the Women and Children's Division. You will be a core member of the MDT, ensuring safe and effective medicines management and medicines optimisation. You will oversee the implementation of service improvements, review of medicines expenditure, as well as clinical governance and medicines safety within the Women and Children's Division. You will work directly with patients and carers to understand their needs, and support adherence to medication regimens, To lead and develop the clinical pharmacy services, to the Women and Children's Division including antenatal, neonatal, postnatal, maternity, paediatrics, obstetrics & gynaecology, to ensure servicesare of the highest standards of quality and professional practice, evidence based and meet theneeds of the user.To be the lead pharmacist for Women and Children's services Trust wide and the specialist onmedicine issues related to this area.To co-ordinate and supervise pharmacy staff in the provision of care to Women and Children's Services.

Occasional cross-site work will be required to meet service needs and may include covering for leave and working weekends/bank holidays.

You will participate in late duty, Bank Holiday and weekend rotas and be part of a seven day service.

You will need good interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to organise and prioritise your work. We will provide appropriate training to aid your personal and professional development.
